What is the Perfect Peel?
The Perfect Peel is the only peel that premieres Glutathione as a founding component and is the only true anti-aging ingredient offered exclusively in the formula. The Perfect Peel works from the inside to repair and nourish the skin by giving it a radiant glow, refining pores, improving skin hyper-pigmentations, diminishing fine lines and wrinkles, controlling acne and preventing acne marks. Most importantly, the Glutathione element defies the aging process. It is the ultimate antioxidant known to prevent damage to important cellular components caused by free radicals and peroxides. As we age, our Glutathione levels are depleted due to sun exposure, air pollutants and environmental stress. In addition to Glutothione, the perfect peel is formulated with an impressive list of active ingredients including: TCA, Retinoic Acid, Salicylic Acid, Phenol, Vitamin C and Kojic Acid.
The procedure only takes 30 minutes.
New skin in just a few days!
During the first 6 hours, do not rub, touch, wash or apply any products on the treated area (including moisturizer, sunscreen and makeup). Wash with water and pat dry the treated area 30 minutes before bedtime and apply one Post Peel Towelette included in the Take Home Kit. Leave the treatment on overnight, do not rinse. After morning application of the 2nd towelette, allow skin to dry for 30 minutes and apply SPF 30. Make-up may be applied. If irritation and discomfort is experienced, apply a small amount of 1% or 2% hydrocortisone to the area. Once peeling process begins of Day 3, apply the Perfect Derma Peel Moisturizer included in the Take Home Kit to the treated area. Do not rub, pick or pull. Gently wash the treated area morning and night, apply SPF ever 2-3 hours or as needed. Limit sun exposure and intense exercise as the skin is more sensitive to heat, sweat and sun. On Day 6 you may resume your regular skin care. Treatments with Retinoids and/or Bleaching Cream may only be added on the 10th day. Continue to protect skin with SPF 30. Avoid retinol for 48 hours. Do not exfoliate for 24 hours prior.
The Cosmelan Peel
What is Melasma?
Dermal melasma is distinguished by the presence of melanophages (cells that ingest melanin) throughout the dermis. More than just superficial freckles, meso-melanoma dark patches are embedded deeper in your skin where your cells renew, making them dysfunctional and always reappear brown. This could be triggered by several factors, including pregnancy, birth control pills, hormone replacement therapy (HRT and progesterone), family history of melasma, race, antiseizure medications, and other medications that make the skin more prone to pigmentation after exposure to ultraviolet (UV) light.
Cosmelan Depigmentation treatments are very effective in the improvement of dark patches and brown skin blemishes with a very high safety margin. The unique blend of ingredients do not rely on hydroquinone only, making the system appropriate for nearly every skin type. This depigmentation treatment actions are based on the prevention, reduction and blending of melanin patches on the face (melasma and chloasma). The unique ingredients accelerate cell turnover, “pushing” present pigment cells to the surface where they are sloughed off. Cosmelan has been used for many years both here and abroad and still achieves some of the highest levels of pigment reduction available in a topical formulation.
It consists of a two part treatment service. The initial treatment is an in-office procedure with application of the Cosmelan cream mask. You will leave this mask on for the amount of time depending on your skin type. This is usually from 4 to 8 hours. You will remove the mask with a gentle cleanser and apply the special post treatment cream that we will recommend for you. The day following the office treatment your skin will redden (much as if you’d spent the day in the sun without a sun screen) and you will have mild peeling or flaking. Some patients experience stinging, itching and tightening. This is normal and may be alleviated by using the Hydra Vital Factor K Cream that will be provided. You will be instructed as to when to begin your maintenance creams which will be used daily to keep your skin smooth and clear and maintain the lightening process. Within a week, patients will notice skin blemishes are beginning to fade, and a brighter a complexion is breaking through. After a couple weeks, the skin will take on a shiny, healthier glow. These results will continue to improve over the fourth or fifth week, when the full benefits of a Cosmelan Peel can be seen.
Note: You should not use other skin lightening products at any time while you are on the Cosmelan program. Use SPF daily! *
