ANTI-ACNE, SKIN-REJUVENATING PHOTOTHERAPY
What is Celluma Light Therapy?
SKINLAB clients love Celluma. Celluma is unique and quite unlike any other light therapy device available today. Celluma safely and effectively rejuvenates skin and fights acne breakouts via simultaneous delivery of blue, red and near-infrared light energy. With anti-inflammatory and regenerative properties, 30 minutes of Celluma LED is an excellent supplemental treatment when used alongside Microneedling, Dermaplaning, Hydrafacial and other SKINLAB treatments.
What are the benefits?
Celluma Light Emitting Diode (LED) phototherapy is the application of light energy to tissue to obtain therapeutic benefits. Light energy is used to improve cellular performance. Celluma increases production of collagen and elastin in the skin, as well as increasing blood circulation and decreasing inflamation and killing acne bacteria.
How does it work?
The Celluma device is small and flexible, able to adapt in shape to treat all parts of the body. An ideal acne protocol is 30 minutes, 3 times each week – or more if desired. It is critical to remove any sunblock, makeup, or lotion on the area to be treated, as these can block or deflect beneficial light wavelengths. Each wavelength is absorbed by different molecules in the skin, optimizing and energizing your skin’s cellular processes. While you relax comfortably, Celluma kills acne bacteria, reducess inflamation, and fights wrinkles with increased collagen and elastin! Skin is rejuvenated and restored to a youthful, rosy glow.
The Celluma acne treatment is a blue dominant LED program. The anti-bacterial blue wavelength causes the P.Acnes bacteria to destroy itself. Blue is the least penetrating of all three wavelengths. In the Acne setting there is also lots of red and a little infrared being emitted. These 3 wavelengths work synergistically to enhance outcomes. The red increases micro-circulation to bring more oxygen and nutrients to the area for healthier skin and tissue repair. The red also reduces the redness and inflammation associated with the acne lesions. Red enhances immune and lymphatic response for better drainage/removal of dead cells and toxins from the area. Skin tone and firmness is improved.
